Sina-SterilGamma Sdn Bhd, established in 1993, is Malaysia’s pioneering Bumiputera-owned sterilization service provider, beginning with the country’s first gamma radiation plant in Rawang. Over the years, we has expanded our services with key milestones: launching Malaysia’s first Ethylene Oxide (EtO) plant in Kulim in 2004, followed by a second EtO facility at Port Klang in 2006, and a second gamma plant in Sepang in 2012. In 2011, we partnered with KPJ Healthcare to create the nation’s first independent Central Sterile Services Center (CSSC) in Klang Valley, later establishing another CSSC with Qhazanah Sabah Berhad in Kota Kinabalu to support East Malaysian healthcare self-sufficiency. Sina-SterilGamma contributed to developing ISO 17665 standards for moist heat sterilization and collaborated with Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resources on CSSD personnel training in 2015. The company is now building a new FDA-compliant, multi-technology sterilization facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, scheduled for completion in 2025.
